CVS Transactions 9/8/08

So once again I had to change things around both before and after I got to CVS. A lovely comment Nicki (no blog) left me, said that my Revlon color cosmetic coupons should work if I bought the Revlon Color Stay two packs so I figured I'd give it a try. My printer also let me know this morning that I was out of black ink so I needed to add an ink cartridge to the list. Maybe I could have gotten it somewhere else cheaper but sometimes you pay a little more for convenience. Here are my transactions:

This was the Renuzit and Chex scenario I planned out yesterday and luckily it worked perfectly. It just came out a little cheaper than I anticipated but that didn't disrupt my coupons this time. Yay. This was a $13.97 value for just .36 cents! ECB's earned = $3.00

This was a new transaction of the Revlon variety:

3 Revlon Color Stay Enamel Packages @ $3.99 each

Sub Total = $12.21

1 $2 off $10 CVS printable
1 $2 off Revlon Color Cosmetic (7/20 ins.)
1 $2 off Revlon Color Cosmetic (8/24 ins.)
$5.79 Extra Bucks

Final Total = $0.24
ECB's earned = $9.00

Third transaction was for necessaries. I had to fork out more dough than I wanted to but when do you ever find a really great coupon for ink cartridges?

1 40 oz. Softsoap Refill @ $5.99
2 CVS AA 4-packs (B1G1F) @ $3.79
1 HP Ink Cartridge @ $22.99

Sub Total = $34.74

1 $1 off 40 oz. Softsoap Refill Coupon

Final Total = $33.74
ECB's earned = $2.00

I probably could have used the ECB's from my previous transaction to take the out of pocket cost down a little but I hate not having any ECB's on hand. One of these days I'll get things down pat. Though my savings aren't as amazing as some ladies' I've seen around the blogs, they're major progress for me and I'm hoping I just keep getting better.

So to sum up, today at CVS I purchased $73.27 worth of products for $34.34 and got $14 ECB's back!

Great deals. Wanted to let you know that you can fill up your HP cartridge at most Walgreens. The black is $10. Last week they had the refill on sale for $5. I tried it for the first time ever. It is working out wonderfully so far. I believe they have some sort of sale again this week on it, a bit different, but not sure what it is. Congrats on your great savings!
